Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown was fired mid-game and students at WTMS have something to say about it.
Brown removed his uniform and shoulder pads mid-game against New York Jets, January 2, 2022. After he took off his uniform and shoulder pads, he then ran on the field and waved at the crowd. Brown looked very upset with his coach on the sideline. Brown said that Buccaneers fired him for having a painful ankle injury before he left mid-game.
Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were astonished when they saw Antonio Brown leave the stadium mid-game.
“I was very curious why he did that,” said 8th grader Jabril. “That’s an odd thing for someone to do in the middle of a game.”
Not only was the student shocked, but other students were also upset or mad that Tampa Bay did this to their player.
“At first I felt very curious,” said 8th grader Kwamir. “But, then I heard about the reason for him doing that which made sense”
Students and fans alike were very curious why he made that decision, but they understand that it was probably best for him.
