During the week of October 23, Winslow Township Middle School students and staff celebrate Red Ribbon Week to prevent drug abuse. Red Ribbon Week is an 8 day celebration of intolerance of drugs. The Sadd Club put together a calendar of days to promote awareness all while having fun, too!
“The best dress ups I’ve seen were Alvin and the Chipmunks and people wearing crazy wigs.
On the second day of Red Ribbon Week, the theme was mismatched clothing. Students dressed up in crazy wigs such as neon purple, red, and blue colorful wigs. People dressed in creative and colorful outfits.
“My favorite part of RRW was twin day because I liked matching outfits with my friends.”
“I love seeing all of the students bring their creative side to the school! My favorites were the nineties dress up outfits! That definitely took me back in time when I was in high school, Mrs. Irvin, TV Production teacher described.”
The Sadd club is lead by ELA teachers Ms. Defrancisco and Ms. Lawry.
